Where do sessions take place?
I can offer sessions in person (near Monument tube station) or online via a secure video platform.
What are your fees?
My fee is £65 per 50-minute session. I have some limited availability for concessionary rates, which is subject to discussion.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
I can offer:
Short-Term Therapy: Time-limited psychotherapy is better suited for focusing on a specific, current challenge or navigating a recent life transition. We would discuss at the initial consultation whether short-term work is suitable for you.
Longer-Term Psychotherapy (Open-Ended): Suited for individuals aiming for deeper, sustained change to address long-standing patterns or deeply rooted issues such as chronic low mood, anxiety, and difficulty managing emotions or relationships.
What is psychodynamic therapy?
The core idea of Psychodynamic therapy is that our past experiences and unconscious patterns significantly shape our present feelings, thoughts, and relationships.
Focus on the Past: We explore how early life experiences and relationships may be influencing your current behaviour and emotional responses.
Unconscious Patterns: The therapy aims to bring recurring, often painful, unconscious patterns of relating into your awareness. By understanding why you respond the way you do, you gain the power to make conscious changes.
The Therapeutic Relationship: By paying attention to the dynamics that arise between us (therapist and client), we can often discover and work through the patterns that are affecting your life outside the therapy room.
Ultimately, psychodynamic therapy offers not only immediate relief from symptoms, but also seeks a deeper, more lasting change by promoting self-awareness and emotional insight.
Who do you work with?
I work exclusively with adults aged 18 and over.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, and dealing with challenging past experiences. If you are unsure if I can help, please reach out for an initial discussion here.
